Thank you

The partner organisations - the New Zealand College of Public Health Medicine, the Public Health Association and the Health Promotion Forum - would like to thank all those delegates, speakers and organisers who made the inaugural New Zealand Population Health Congress the great success it was.  The concept of a joint event between these partner organisations originated after similar, successful events in Australia. This is the first time that these organisations have planned and delivered a combined conference in New Zealand.

Feedback on the Congress has been very positive. We hope everyone who attended had plenty of opportunities to learn, discuss and share their knowledge and experience about the latest advances in population health thinking and practice, and went away invigorated and better equipped for their work.

Points to note:

  • The Congress is being formally evaluated to assess whether it should be repeated and, if so, what improvements could be made.

  • Content from the Congress, including powerpoint slides and keynote addresses, has been placed on the website and will be maintained for at least a year

  • The Congress Declaration and bibliography is available on this website

  • Proceedings from the Congress are available for download under latest news

Once again, we thank all those who attended, contributed and worked behind the scenes to ensure the success of this event.
